Having been on this fitness journey for over 6 years now, there are certain staples to the healthy diet that must be present. Chicken is one of these. But, you can only have grilled chicken breast for so long before you GO CRAZY with boredom! Enter the Honey Mustard Shredded Slow Cooker Chicken! This 21 Day Fix approved recipe, is PERFECT for people who are trying to not only eat clean but also watch their portions.
Here is the video with EXACT instructions on how to make this tasty treat:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts – organic preferred
- 1/4 cup stone ground mustard (or mustard of your choice)
- 3 tbs Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (or Lite Soy Sauce)
- 2 tbs Organic Raw Honey
- 1 cup of Organic, low-sodium Chicken stock or broth
- 1/4 tbs Garlic Powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine mustard, liquid aminos, honey, broth, garlic powder into a 2 cup mixing cup. Stir to combine. Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Pour sauce over chicken and cook on low setting for 6 hours or high for 4. When finished, pull chicken apart using forks or a Kitchen Aid style mixer (shown in video). Place back in slow cooker. Serve on whole grain buns, 1/2 a bun or whole wheat wrap for lower carbs. Also, works over brown rice.
