Let’s face it; snacks can totally ruin good nutrition. While small meals throughout the day help sustain your energy level, poor snacking choices can ruin your weight loss and nutrition goals. That’s why I’d like to share with you a recipe that has become a family favorite: quick, easy and delicious energy bars.
These bars are packed with protein and nutrition, thanks in part to the cup of Shakeology. They travel well, so make them ahead and take them on road trips, to your kids’ sporting events or to have on hand at the office.
Energy Bars
1 cup chocolate Shakeology
3/4 cup PB2
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup honey
2/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup almond milk
Mix all ingredients. Line an 8″x8″ baking dish with parchment paper. Press mixture into the pan. Store in the refrigerator or freezer. Cut into bars and enjoy!
Lisa may spend her days as an early childhood Montessori teacher, but when she’s not in the classroom, she’s in the kitchen whipping up new recipes, while adding her own healthy flare with a few simple changes. When she and Dan first got married, she only knew how to make tuna noodle casserole made with Velveeta and cream of mushroom soup. She has come a long ways since then, thanks to cookbooks, the Internet, trial and error, and a passion for healthier living.

Love this Dan! Chris loves protein PB balls. I’ll try this recipe for him.
