Scattered lives happen. And they aren’t really fun to live, are they? So many people take life as it comes to them. They follow the prescription, follow the path and never stray too far from the sidewalk. They get distracted or just coast along, too tired to focus, just hoping to maintain their way through life.
But maybe, just MAYBE, it’s possible to live a life by design.
Instead of letting life happen to us, we have the opportunity to design it. How do we do that?
Define the big picture.
Develop a life plan and look at it often. Remind yourself of what you want to accomplish. Always have a goal in mind.
Choose carefully.
Once you know what you’re working towards, then you can choose the pieces that will get you where you want to be. If you are running from thing to thing to thing, you aren’t getting to that specific target you want to achieve.
Filter and focus.
Keep your eyes on your goal and ignore all distractions. As Jen Hatmaker once said (and please excuse her bluntness):
If it’s not a HELL YES, then it’s a no.
“So that medium yes, that I-feel-like-should yes, that guilty yes, that coerced yes, that I-actually-hate-this-thing yes, that I-guess-so yes, that who-else-will-do-it yes, that careless yes, that default yes, that resentful yes, that I-probably-shouldn’t-but-struggle-with-boundaries yes?
NO. Nope. No thank you.
For me, living a life by design means I need to take time each day to do some form of personal development. It is one of the vital behaviors of being a Beachbody Coach and I think this is one of the reasons I became so attracted to this opportunity. I realized that it lined up SO MUCH with the overall vision for my life. I wanted to help people become the BEST VERSIONS of themselves physically, mentally, spiritually and financially. And the fact that we use personal development to further these ends in our coaches gives me confidence in where we are headed!
So, I want to invite YOU to consider becoming a coach. Simply fill out the form below and I’ll be in touch very soon.
